Paid Parking

An hourly rate of NZD $10 per hour applies, if you arrive and pay for parking after 3pm an hourly rate of NZD $5 per hour will apply.

This is a barrierless licence plate recognition system, simply enter your licence plate into one of the pay machines and follow the instructions.  You will find pay machines located at entry/exit points to the carparks, also a pay machine is located inside the Visitor Terminal.

Please note only credit/debit cards are accepted.

This is a ticketless system which is a requirement under our concession with the Department of Conservation and to avoid the possibility of tickets becoming litter.

The Visitor Terminal is a brief 10-15min walk from the paid parking areas.

Mobility Parking

There are four designated mobility parking spaces available in front of the Visitor Terminal.  Please note that carparking fees still apply, a pay machine is available inside the Visitor Terminal.

The Visitor Terminal is mobility friendly, but please check with your cruise provider regarding vessel arrangements.

OVERNIGHT CRUISE PARKING

There is designated overnight cruise parking available within the coach park which is available after 3.30pm each day. If your overnight cruise departs prior to 3.30pm, please contact your cruise provider for parking details.

The rate is NZD $30 overnight, departure is required by 11am the following morning. There is a designated pay machine located within the Visitor Terminal, please see link below for instructions. If you require further information please check with your overnight cruise provider or ask one of our team for assistance.

Free Parking

A free car parking area is located at Deepwater Basin.  This is a left hand turn just before you enter Piopiotahi / Milford Sound, from here it is about a 20-30 minute scenic walk to the Visitor Terminal.  Parking here is limited and is first come first served.

Complimentary Bus Service

Due to staff shortages our complimentary bus service is not available at present.

Overnight Camping

No overnight camping is permitted in the carparking areas.

Check in for Milford Sound Cruises

Check in for all Milford Sound Cruises is required 20 minutes prior to your departure time, but please confirm with your cruise provider.
